Gravel Road Legacy: Lakeview

If you’re an individual that enjoys a relatable story of a blue-collar, 9-5 lifestyle accompanied by face-melting breakdowns, Lakeview may be for you. Luke Healy and Jesse Denaro met because they shared a job and became best friends after learning they shared an ex as well. The pair became roommates, and after spending most nights songwriting together, left their hometown of Pittsburg, PA in 2019 and headed to Nashville to get work. Lakeview gave a taste of what was to come with their debut EP, Small Town Famous, featuring “Hits Different” in June 2021. Nine months later, the duo set the world on fire with “LOSER,” co-written with Cody Quistad of Wage War, that seamlessly blends heavy riffs and a story of a blue-collar heartbreak. In 2023, Luke and Jesse, pushed to see how heavy you could make a country song before it isn’t country, and then pushed past it. Amassing over 12 million streams on Spotify, Lakeviews single, Home Team, gave us what one could only describe as “dirt-core.” With gutturals in all the right places, nasty breakdowns, and a relatable story of hard work, it became an anthem for the proud working class and a guilty pleasure for metalheads who “aren’t supposed to like country music.” The hard work paid off and the boys announced a tour along side Breaking Benjamin, Staind, and Daughtry that kicks off in September 2024.
