WDVX FM is an award-winning Americana radio station located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Johnny Cash once said that singing on the radio was a big deal, and we still believe this is true. Live performance is an important part of WDVX programming, which features a variety of the roots music we’re all about. It’s a mix of Bluegrass, Americana, Classic and Alternative Country, Western Swing, Blues, Old Time and Appalachian Mountain Music, Bluegrass Gospel, Celtic and Folk. WDVX is proud of its commitment to local and regional musicians, providing an outlet for their talents on live radio shows in front of an audience and in-studio performances at our studios located in the Knoxville Visitor Center in downtown Knoxville.
